These Crispy Roasted Chickpeas are crunchy and high in plant protein making for a delicious and easy snack. Plus, they can be flavored in three different ways outlined below (taco, lemon garlic and vegan ranch)!
Crispy Roasted Chickpeas – 3 Ways
Theses Crispy Roasted Chickpeas are so easy to throw together and make for such a satisfying snack. They also are amazing to top on salads and hummus, but that hasn’t stopped me from eating them by the fistful. I often double the batch when making these because I’ll know I wish I had more once they are gone!
Each bite makes an audible “crunch” and what makes these even more fun is that they can be flavored in three different, vegan friendly, ways. Keep reading for the recipes!
Crispy Roasted Chickpeas – Taco
What you’ll need:
- avocado oil
- chili powder
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- dried oregano
- paprika
- cumin
- salt

What you’ll need:
- avocado oil
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- salt
- fresh lemon
Crispy Roasted Chickpeas – Vegan Ranch
What you’ll need:
- avocado oil
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- dried parsley
- dried dill
- dried chives
- dried cilantro
- salt
- black pepper
- coconut milk powder

Crispy Roasted Chickpeas – Taco
Ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas/garbanzo beans
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- ½ tsp chili powder
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp onion powder
- ⅛ tsp dried oregano
- ¼ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp cumin
- ¼ tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°.
- Drain and rinse chickpeas, then dry thoroughly. Be sure to remove any loose skins.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pour dry chickpeas into a bowl and add in avocado oil and seasonings. Stir to coat evenly.
- Spread out chickpeas on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 25 minutes then toss and return to the oven for 25 more minutes.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool before enjoying.
