This Dairy Free Caramel Apple Latte is made with all natural ingredients and free from added sugars, so it will leave you feeling not only caffeinated and seasonal, but it will nourish your body in the process!
Dairy Free Caramel Apple Latte
Step aside, Starbucks. This easy latte is made with refined sugar free homemade apple syrup and better for you frothy milk so that you can sip healthfully all season long.
Homemade Syrups
Sound complicated? Honestly, it’s pretty simple. Something I’ve found this year is that making homemade syrups is super easy and allows me to control what goes into them.
To make homemade syrups, you essentially use one part liquid and one part sugar. For me, I opt for monk fruit sweetener from Lakanto or Miss Jones in order to keep them sugar free. Trust me, it works just the same and taste just as good!

Apple Syrup
Ingredients
- ½ cup pure apple juice (I use my juicer, but store bought is fine)
- ½ cup brown sugar (I use brown sugar substitutes for sugar free, I prefer Miss Jones brand)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Add ingredients to a skillet or pot on the stove over medium heat and whisk together to combine.
- Keep an eye on it and whisk often as it heats.
- Bring to a simmer and allow the syrup to bubble slightly while still whisking.
- Once the consistency is thick and similar to honey or maple syrup, remove the syrup from the heat and allow to cool slightly.
Notes
Dairy Free Caramel Apple Latte
Ingredients
- 1 cup coffee or 2 shots espresso
- 3-4 tbsp apple syrup, separated
- ½ cup nut milk (I use MALK vanilla almond milk)
- ¼ cup caramel creamer (I use nutpods)
- 1-2 scoops vanilla collagen, optional (I use VitaCup or Further Food)
Instructions
- Make the apple syrup (recipe in this blog post) and allow to cool slightly.
- Brew your coffee or espresso.
- Heat milk and creamer for 45 seconds, then add the collagen, as collagen disolves quicker and easier in warm liquid.
- Froth the milk and collagen until frothy.
- Spoon 2-3 tbsp of apple syrup into the warm coffee and stir.
- Top coffee with the frothed milk and a tbsp of the apple syrup.
