Method
- Add ingredients to a skillet or pot on the stove over medium heat and whisk together to combine.
- Keep an eye on it and whisk often as it heats.
- Bring to a simmer and allow the syrup to bubble slightly while still whisking.
- Once the consistency is thick and similar to honey or maple syrup, remove the syrup from the heat and allow to cool slightly.
Notes
Store leftover syrup in a jar with a lid and keep in the fridge. I stir mine into hot coffee so it's okay if it thickens a little as it cools since it melts back into the coffee.
