Homemade Apple Syrup

Apple Syrup

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup pure apple juice (I use my juicer, but store bought is fine)
  • ½ cup brown sugar (I use brown sugar substitutes for sugar free, I prefer Miss Jones brand)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Add ingredients to a skillet or pot on the stove over medium heat and whisk together to combine.
  • Keep an eye on it and whisk often as it heats.
  • Bring to a simmer and allow the syrup to bubble slightly while still whisking.
  • Once the consistency is thick and similar to honey or maple syrup, remove the syrup from the heat and allow to cool slightly.

Notes

Store leftover syrup in a jar with a lid and keep in the fridge. I stir mine into hot coffee so it's okay if it thickens a little as it cools since it melts back into the coffee.
