Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cubed
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil
Sauce
  • ½ cup coconut aminos (can sub soy sauce if not Whole30)
  • ½ tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened BBQ sauce (I use The New Primal)
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
Thickening Paste
  • 1 tbsp tapioca starch
  • 2 tbsp broth or water
Garnishes (Optional)
  • green onions
  • lime wedge
  • sesame seeds
  • red pepper flakes
  • cilantro

Method
 

  1. Cube and cook your chicken in avocado oil in a skillet on the stove over medium heat. Salt and pepper the chicken if you'd like.
  2. Once the chicken is cooked, add in all of the sauce ingredients and let simmer for a few minutes.
  3. Once simmering, mix together the water or broth and tapioca starch to make a paste, then pour the paste into the skillet, mixing immediately. This will thicken your sauce!
  4. Enjoy with rice or cauliflower rice, steamed veggies and garnishes of your choice!
