3lbsapples, peeled and chopped(I use gala but you can use whatever you like!)
½cupwater
1tbspcinnamon(optional)
¼-½cupcoconut sugar(optional, for extra sweetness if desired)
Instructions
Peel and chop your apples.
Place the apples in a slow cooker with water (and cinnamon and coconut sugar, if you're including them) and set the slow cooker for 4 hours.
While they bake, you can stir occasionally. As time goes on, they will turn soft and slowly turn into applesauce. PS - your kitchen will smell amazing!
Once completely soft, you can mash the remaining pieces or add the contents to a blender to reach the consistency you're looking for.
Store in the fridge in an airtight container. Enjoy!
