Grain Free Tortilla Chips

Ingredients
  

  • ¾ cup cassava flour (I use @ottosnaturals)
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil or olive oil, plus extra for cooking
  • cup water, warmed
  • salt, to taste

Method
 

  1. Warm water in the microwave for 20 seconds.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and form one large dough ball. If your dough is too soft, add additional flour a tsp at a time.
  3. Pour oil into a pan on the stove over medium heat to warm up.
  4. While the oil heats, form 6 balls out of your dough and flatten each between two pieces of parchment paper, then cut into four equal parts.
  5. Place the dough pieces into the oil and cook/fry until each side is golden.
  6. Place the fresh chips on a towel to dry then sprinkle with additional salt if desired.
