Cornless Bread Drop Biscuits

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup cold unsalted butter, cubed (can use vegan or dairy)
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup milk (of choice, can use dairy or unsweetened plain almond milk)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350℉ and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • With a pastry dough cutter (or a sturdy fork) cut the cubed butter into the flour mixture until butter is fully cut into the flour and it roughly resembles small pebbles.
  • Whisk together honey, egg and milk then mix it into the flour mixture.
  • Drop equal amounts of dough onto baking sheet, 2 inches apart from each biscuit. There will be enough dough for 6 biscuits. I like to use an ice cream scoop for this!
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center and tops are golden brown.
  • Allow to cool and enjoy with a spread of butter and drizzle of honey.
