Equipment

  • Food Processor or High Powered Blender

Ingredients

  • 1 cup hazelnuts, roasted and skinned
  • 1 tbsp chocolate protein powder (I use Nutrilite Organics Chocolate Plant Protein Powder)
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup nut milk of choice
  • 2 tbsp cold brew
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°. Once heated, roast hazelnuts on a baking sheet for 10-15 minutes.
  • Once roasted and cooled slightly, pour the hazelnuts onto a towel. Cover them with the towel and roll them, pressing lightly, to remove any loose skins. It’s okay if not all of the skin comes off, just do your best here.
  • In a food processor or high powered blender, combine hazelnuts, milk and cold brew. Blend until as smooth as you can get it. You may need to scrape the edges a few times.
  • Add in the protein powder, cocoa powder, vanilla extract and maple syrup and blend until evenly combined.
  • Serve on anything you’d like from toast to crepes or even fresh fruit!
