1cupmilk, of choice(the milk you use will alter the texture/thickness of the hot chocolate)

1tbsppure maple syrup or coconut sugar
1tbspunsweetened cocoa powder or cacao powder
pinchsalt
Whipped Cream (optional)
1cupheavy cream
2tbspsugar or monk fruit
2tspvanilla extract
Instructions
If using whipped cream, start by whipping the heavy cream until fluffy.
Then, add in the sugar or monk fruit and the vanilla and whip until desired consistency (should only take a few seconds as your whipped cream should be formed when whipping the cream alone).
For the hot chocolate, combine all of the ingredients together in a pot on the stove and whisk until no cocoa/cacao clumps remain.
Once warm, pour into your favorite mug, top with whipped cream if desired, and enjoy!
