Pumpkins and apples are everywhere I look, but like, what about pears? Truthfully they are so underrated and I can’t get enough of them right now. So much so that I decided to make a dinner out of them and boom, Pear & Prosciutto Wrapped Chicken. It looks fancy but is honestly SO easy and delicious.
Pear & Prosciutto Wrapped Chicken
Sounds fancy and complicated, right? It’s actually so easy! You can take my word for it, because I’m a no fuss type of cook. I like when recipes come together easily while being made up of real ingredients. That being said, you can ensure this recipe, along with all of my other recipes here on the blog are totally doable for all skill levels. Have a question? Simple, Nourishing and Unexpected
To be honest with you, before this recipe, I had never cooked with pears before. When I pulled this skillet out of the oven for the first time, I cannot even tell you how excited I was over just the smell! And when I took my first bite? Game over. This recipe is perfect for a light and flavorful meal that is sure to change up your typical dinner routine.
With all of the flavor, you’d think this recipe required a bunch of different ingredients and lots of time and effort, but it is made up of only a handful of real foods and spices and is ready in less than 45 minutes! You basically combine all the ingredients in a skillet on the stove then pop it into the oven until it’s done.
Make it Your Own
This recipe is completely gluten free and refined sugar free naturally while also being a great option for anyone on Whole30. It’s also free of lactose as long as you use ghee! If you don’t have a problem with lactose, feel free to sub butter and whatever milk you prefer. Plus, this dish is also super versatile as you can serve it over greens or grains. The choice is yours!

Made this tonight and absolutely loved it! I have never cooked with pears before and it paired so well with the chicken and prosciutto. The fiancé even said it was the best chicken dish yet (he usually cringes when I say we’re having chicken for dinner)! I served it with roasted carrots and orzo but want to try it over arugula next time!
