This easy and delicious Paleo Chili is made in one pot in just 30 minutes and is packed with nourishment from real ingredients. It seriously requires close to no effort and just a handful of ingredients and spices. It’s so simple but packs big flavor and is sure to be a hit no matter who you’re serving!

Paleo Chili

Paleo Chili

This Paleo Chili is so good that my grandma sent me a text immediately after dropping some off at her house. She loved it and even sent me a picture before digging in, which she always does when she thinks the presentation is restaurant-worthy (how cute?). If that isn’t a stamp of approval, I don’t know what is.

What’s great about this recipe aside from it being so easy that anyone can make it is that you can definitely adjust it to meet your needs and preferences. You can use whatever meat you like best and throw in your favorite veggies. Feel free to make it your own!

Ingredients Method

Ingredients

Chili
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 lb ground chicken, turkey or beef
  • ½ onion, diced (white or red)
  • 1 medium sweet potato, cubed
  • 15 oz can diced tomatoes (check for compliant ingredients)
  • 5 oz can tomato paste (check for compliant ingredients)
  • 1 cup chicken broth or chicken bone broth (I use Bonafide Provisions)
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp paleo friendly brown sugar substitute (Optional! I used Miss Jone's, but can sub any brown sugar if not paleo! Omit for Whole30)
Toppings (Optional)
  • green onions
  • red onion, diced fine
  • greek yogurt/sour cream (Paleo friendly, if needed)
  • corn bread ("Not Cornbread" Cornbread from Miss Jones for a paleo option)

Method

  1. In a pot over medium heat, add in oil and protein of choice. Cook until browned.
  2. In the same pot, add in the rest of your ingredients and stir until combined.
  3. Cover the pot with a tight fitting lid and allow the chili to simmer. The chili will thicken and the sweet potatoes will cook.
  4. Once the sweet potatoes are soft/fork tender and the chili has thickened, remove the chili from the heat, stir and serve warm with desired toppings!
