This 15 minute Creamy Pesto Pasta is made with just 6 gluten free and dairy free ingredients making it the perfect meal everyone will love!
Creamy Pesto Pasta
This pasta comes together in just 15 minutes and is so delicious that everyone is sure to love it. My sister is a vegetarian and gluten free and my husband is fairly picky, but both loved this dish so much that we didn’t have leftovers!
You can make it your own to fit your needs and taste preferences as well. If you are allergic to coconut but dairy doesn’t give you a problem, feel free to use heavy cream instead. You have the choice to use whatever pasta you like best and can even add in a protein source if you’d like! Make it work for you!

Creamy Pesto Pasta
Equipment
- Food Processor or Blender
Ingredients
- pasta of choice (I use Jovial gluten free pasta)
- 2 cups basil leaves, packed
- ½ cup olive oil
- ½ cup pine nuts
- 2 garlic cloves
- ¼ cup full fat coconut milk (can sub heavy cream if needed)
- ½ tsp salt (can add more to taste)
Instructions
- Cook pasta of choice and set aside. If using gluten free pasta, I like to drain the pasta, skip the rinse and drizzle with olive oil to keep it from sticking.
- Combine all ingredients aside from the pasta into a food processor or blender and run until a sauce forms.
- Combine the pasta and creamy pesto in a large bowl and mix gently until evenly distributed.

SO GOOD! I added a little lemon, asparagus and shrimp as well. But so good just as is too!

This pesto was amazingly easy and equally delicious! I mixed in some peas and sugar free chicken sausage to round of the meal but honestly it would have been perfect without that. Kayla with another win!

The pesto- incredible and SO easy to make. I’ll be honest- I’ve avoided it and I don’t know why!!
