Chocolate Sauce (Paleo, Healthy & Easy)

March 22, 2024 by kaylaskitchandfix 6 Comments

This easy and healthy 5 minute Chocolate Sauce tastes exactly like Hershey’s syrup but is made with just simple, real food ingredients. I made this by accident while working on a recipe for chocolate sauce to make mochas with, but it was a very happy accident! It is delicious in coffee, yes, but also over ice cream, mixed into milk, etc. It’s a must try!

A NOTE ON CALORIE COUNT, NUTRITIONAL INFO AND SERVING SIZES

Due to my past experiences, I do not include most of the above information within my recipes as it is unsafe for me to do so personally. While I try to share a rough estimate when it comes to the serving size, please note that it is very subjective as we all have different hunger levels both from person to person and even from meal to meal.

I hope you understand! This comes from a place of love and protection both for myself and others like me. If you ever have any questions, send me an Instagram message for the quickest response time! Thank you for being here!

How long does it last in the fridge? 1/3 cup if cocoa powder or cocoa powder, is the same ingredient?

Should be good for a couple months! Although mine never lasts that long. I’m not understanding your second question. You can use cocoa powder or cacao powder.

How long will this keep in frig or can it be frozen and thawed and retain correct texture?

A few months! I haven’t frozen it so I’m not sure about that!

The taste is amazing, however mine came out runny like water, not even the consistency as syrup and most certainly not as thick as a sauce. I followed the instructions exactly and used all the same ingredients with no substitutions. I stirred consistently as well for at least 5 minutes. Not sure what happened. What do you think?

Next time you could turn up the heat a little and allow it to simmer to reach the consistency you would prefer!
