Carrot Juice Bloody Mary
AKA the “Bunny” Mary… you cannot tell me this is not such a fun and cute twist on the traditional bloody mary! Plus, it’s actually such a great option to have while hosting or serving a group because they are so easy to customize to meet multiple taste preferences.
That’s not all. You can also make this cocktail or mocktail relatively healthy by choosing ingredients that are made simply and don’t have lots of additives like sugars or inflammatory oils. So, let’s pour up this drink that we can feel good about!
Make it Your Own
As mentioned, this recipe is super customizable to meet multiple dietary needs and taste preferences. If you’d like a drink sans alcohol, sub in an alcohol alternative. If you can’t find Worcestershire sauce (or would rather sub in something with simpler ingredients like me) use coconut aminos or (gluten free) soy sauce instead. If you hate horseradish, leave it out. If you looooove spice, add in more hot sauce. The choices are all up to you!
Carrot Juice vs. Tomato Juice
If you love bloody marys but are hesitant about using carrot juice, do not worry because I did the detective work for you. My husband hates carrots to the point that I cannot sneak one past him and he picks them out of any meal they are in, seriously. BUT, when he tried this cocktail, I did not expect him to love it as much as he did. I was fully planning on drinking the glass myself, but he asked if he could have it! He also commented multiple times throughout the day about how great it was.
That being said, I’m confident anyone will love this drink! However, as always, I love for people to make my recipes meet their needs. If you’d rather use tomato juice, feel free! It will work just as well.
Why Homemade is Better Than Store Bought
There is, of course, something just so satisfying about making something from scratch, isn’t there? What makes it even more satisfying is when it is easy to do. Not only is this recipe easy, but by making it at home, you are able to fully customize each glass to meet the dietary needs and taste preferences of each person enjoying this fun cocktail/mocktail.
It also allows for you to set out all of the ingredients for an interactive “Build Your Own” Bunny Mary Bar! Guests love that type of thing because it’s fun, it allows them to make it to their taste and it gives a rewarding sense of accomplishment!
