These easy Whole30 Buffalo Cauliflower Bites make for the perfect better for you appetizer whether you’re watching the Super Bowl or are just looking for a fun (and delicious) way to eat more veggies!
Buffalo Cauliflower Bites
These little flavorful cauliflower bites are so delicious, my veggie hating fiance told me he would enjoy eating vegetables if I made them all like this. I can’t blame him. They’re packed with flavor and are just so yummy! Basically they’re the perfect snack or appetizer, in my opinion.
Make it your own!
Love buffalo sauce and spice? Add more once they’re out of the oven! You can also pick your favorite sauce to make it as spicy or as mild as you like. The choice is up to you! I’m very spice sensitive, so I used mild buffalo sauce that is Whole30 compliant from The New Primal. It was the perfect amount of flavor for me!
Tips & Tricks
Be sure to keep an eye on the cauliflower in the oven towards to end of their cook time to ensure they don’t burn, especially while they broil. Every oven is a little different, so they may need more or less time! Just keep checking on them to make sure they turn out the way you want them. I don’t mind a little char, so these were perfect for me!
In case you’re prone to burning things (guilty!), feel free to skip the broil step! You can also pop them into an air fryer quickly instead if you want to crisp them up slightly.
If you end up with leftovers, reheat them by popping them in a conventional oven or air fryer or even back into your normal oven. This will help them get crispy all over again!

Buffalo Cauliflower Bites
Ingredients
- ½ head of cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1 tbsp avocado oil or olive oil
- 2 tbsp tapioca starch or flour
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ¼ cup buffalo or hot sauce
- 2 tbsp ghee (can sub butter or sub olive oil or avocado oil for dairy free)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°.
- Chop your cauliflower into florets, then coat in a bowl with olive oil or avocado oil.
- Toss the cauliflower florets with the tapioca starch/flour until coated evenly.
- Space out cauliflower on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Ensure that they are not touching so that they cook best.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Melt the ghee and mix with the buffalo or hot sauce until combined.
- Remove the cauliflower from the oven and coat each piece in the sauce/ghee mixture.
- Bake the cauliflower for 10 more minutes, then broil on high (500°) for 2-5 minutes with the oven door cracked. Be sure to watch the cauliflower during this time as it can burn easily!
- Serve warm with ranch if you so wish!

These were amazing! I used Noble Made by the New Primal Buffalo sauce and olive oil instead of butter or ghee. They crisped up nicely amd the flavor was amazing! I will certainly make them again!!

I love that buffalo sauce! Such a great brand. I’m so glad it works to sub the ghee for olive oil. Thank you so much for sharing and for making!
