This Cherry & Whipped Goat Cheese Puff Pastry Flowers and Shirley Temples pairing makes for the easiest aperitivo! It’s pretty much one of those “no recipe recipes” because you can pull it off without really doing any measuring, yet you really can’t mess it up! Everything comes together super quickly and is not only delicious, but pretty on your table!

Cherry & Whipped Goat Cheese Puff Pastry Flowers
What you’ll need/what I use:
- Puff Pastry (I use Dufour gluten free classic puff pastry, it’s amazing!)
- 8 oz Honey Goat Cheese (or you can add 1-2 tbsp of honey to plain goat cheese)
- Fabbri Cherries
How to make them:
- Follow the pastry dough instructions on how to roll out the dough.
- Use a large flower shaped cookie cutter and cut out as many flowers as you can. You can also reshape the dough scraps to re-roll out and cut out more flowers shapes.
- In a mini muffin tin pan, press the dough flowers gently into the pan and press the middle towards the bottom, leaving the petal shapes on the outside. Poke the bottoms of the flowers a few times with a fork.
- Bake the flowers according to the puff pastry instructions, checking on them a few minutes early, and removing once golden.
- Whip the goat cheese (adding honey if you are using plain goat cheese) in a food processor, then add to a piping bag.
- Pipe the goat cheese to the center of the puff pastry flowers and top with a Fabbri Cherry with a little drizzle of syrup.
- These would also be great garnished with fresh herbs!
Shirley Temples
What you’ll need/what I use:
- Lemon Lime Soda (I use Poppi or Olipop, but can also use ginger beer or any lemon lime soda you like!)
- Syrup from the Fabbri Cherries Jar (1-2 spoonfuls)
How to make them:
- Simply add your soda to a glass with ice and swirl in 1-2 spoonfuls of of Fabbri Cherry syrup!
- Garnish with a few cherries if desired.
