TIPS & TRICKS
Be sure to keep an eye on the cauliflower in the oven towards to end of their cook time to ensure they don’t burn, especially while they broil. Every oven is a little different, so they may need more or less time! Just keep checking on them to make sure they turn out the way you want them.
In case you’re prone to burning things (guilty!), feel free to skip the broil step! You can also pop them into an air fryer quickly instead if you want to crisp them up slightly.
If you end up with leftovers, reheat them by popping them in a conventional oven or air fryer or even back into your normal oven. This will help them get crispy all over again!

Whole30 & Vegan BBQ Cauliflower Bites
Ingredients
- 1 head cauliflower, cut into florets
- 2 tbsp avocado oil or extra virgin olive oil
- ¼ cup tapioca starch or tapioca flour
- ½ cup paleo/Whole30 BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°.
- Chop your cauliflower into florets, then coat in a bowl with olive oil or avocado oil.
- Toss the cauliflower florets with the tapioca starch/flour until coated evenly.
- Space out cauliflower on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Ensure that they are not touching so that they cook best.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the cauliflower from the oven and coat each piece in the BBQ sauce.
- Bake the cauliflower for 10 more minutes, then broil on high (500°) for 2-5 minutes with the oven door cracked. Be sure to watch the cauliflower during this time as it can burn easily!
- Serve warm with ranch if you so wish!

One of my favorite sides to make thanks to Kayla ! I make these so much I don’t know how I’m not sick of them. Her home made ranch recipe is also amazing I typically make extra and use it for The rest of the week for basically anything !

The sign of a favorite recipe for me is when I make something countless times and never get tired of it! So glad this recipe is one of those for you! Also, the ranch. Good on everything, right?! You have great taste. 🙂

Can you use arrowroot instead of tapioca flour?
kaylaskitchandfix
I have not tried this, and it may work okay, but it may not have the same crispiness the tapioca starch/flour gives, but it may work just fine as they are typically interchangeable for thickening purposes. If you try it, let me know how it goes! 🙂
