This is truly the best Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe to make at home using just healthy ingredients and can be made hot or iced! It tastes just like your favorite coffee shop. I tried to perfect this recipe for years and it’s finally ready to share with you! A lot of homemade pumpkin coffee recipes leave you with a thick and/or grainy texture due to mixing the pumpkin straight into the coffee. The secret is in the homemade syrup, which is actually super easy, saves time in the long run. Plus, it’s made from just 5 healthy ingredients!

Pumpkin Spice Latte (Hot or Iced)
Ingredients
Homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup coconut sugar
- ¼ cup pure pumpkin purée
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp pumpkin spice
Pumpkin Spice Latte (Hot or Iced)
- 2 shots espresso (chilled if making iced)
- ½ cup vanilla almond milk (I use Califia Farms)
- 2 tbsp vanilla almond creamer (I use Califia Farms)
- 2-4 tbsp homemade pumpkin spice syrup (more or less to taste depending on sweetness preference)
Instructions
Homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup
- Add all ingredients in a pot on the stove over medium heat. Bring to a slight simmer and keep an eye on the mixture, mixing lightly as the sugar dissolves. Once the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture has thickened slightly, your simple syrup is done! Allow to cool and store in an airtight container in the fridge.
Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte
- Brew and chill espresso.
- Fill your favorite glass with ice, then pour in your desired amount of pumpkin spice syrup.
- Next, froth together the milk and creamer using a milk frother. You can skip this step if you don't have one!
- Pour in the frothed milk and creamer then pour in the chilled espresso.
- Dust pumpkin spice or cinnamon over top (if desired), then mix together and enjoy!
Hot Pumpkin Spice Latte
- Add desired amount of pumpkin spice syrup to the bottom of your favorite mug.
- Brew your espresso, then pour into the mug.
- Next, froth together the milk and creamer using a milk frother on the hot setting. If using a handheld frother, warm the milk and creamer in the microwave for 30 seconds before frothing.
- Pour in the frothed milk and creamer into the mug, dust pumpkin spice or cinnamon over top (if desired) and enjoy!
