Mistletoe Margarita

December 11, 2020 by kaylaskitchandfix 12 Comments

Cheers to the holiday season with this festive, flavorful and dangerously delicious Mistletoe Margarita! It has the classic margarita taste you love but with seasonal flavors from pomegranate and cranberry. It’s a must-make!

Mistletoe Margarita

Mistletoe Margarita

This tasty cocktail is super easy to make and is a little too delicious for our own good. While always being sure to drink responsibly, this little glass full of cheer is the perfect drink to have during any holiday occasion.

You can easily make this cocktail a mocktail by using a tequila alternative that is zero proof! I have made this drink multiple times with Ritual Zero Proof and I love it!

Ingredient Check

As someone that is always mindful of reading ingredient lists, I was sure to choose the cleanest options of juices and such for this recipe when making it. While I truly believe the holidays are meant to be enjoyed (as is life in general) and that it isn’t always possible or realistic to eat/drink completely clean, I always try to choose my best options where possible! That being said, I grabbed cranberry and pomegranate juices that didn’t have weird added ingredients or sugar, because after all, it’s fruit juice! Why add sugar?!

Go the extra mile

The deep, beautiful burgundy shade comes from the combination of cranberry juice and pomegranate juice. Not only is the color perfect for the season, but the taste is festive as well. Plus, it looks just like the holiday decor must-have when garnished with cranberries and a sprig of fresh mint leaves. Opt for sugaring your cranberries and adding a salt lined rim to add a snowy touch.

If you’re really feeling the spirit of the season, pour the cocktail into clear ornaments for a fun way to serve guests! The impact is worth the two extra minutes. I got these iridescent ornaments at Michael’s Craft Store!

I made a similar margarita but these beat it out by a landslide. The two juices and the Cointreau balanced out all the acidity. I loved these so much, not too sweet and not too bitter. Perfection!

Are the juices the unsweetened ones?

Hi Cathy, yes! I always aim to buy unsweetened products and juices whenever possible. Just pure, real juice from fruit!

Hi Liz, I am thrilled you’re making these for Thanksgiving! I think any tequila would be fine, but I typically use the light variety or I use Ritual Zero Proof for alcohol free! Hope that helps!
