Chocolate Cold Brew Smoothie

June 30, 2020 by kaylaskitchandfix Leave a Comment

Combining my breakfast and morning coffee to make this Chocolate Cold Brew Smoothie may be one of my better decisions. This recipe seriously tastes like a milkshake but is packed with nutrients and is ready in minutes. Need I say more?

Chocolate Cold Brew Smoothie

Calling all coffee lovers! If you’re like me and live for your morning coffee while also loving all things chocolate and peanut butter, this smoothie is for you. It’s such a great way to start your morning on the right foot as it is packed with protein and healthy fats while also having a hidden veggie in it. Don’t worry, you won’t be able to taste it, I promise!

Make it Yours

It’s the perfect quick breakfast for a busy morning. Plus, you won’t have to run late as you head out the door since you are knocking out your breakfast and caffeine fix all with one recipe. It’s ideal!

What I love about smoothies is that they only require a handful of good for you ingredients and a take just a few minutes of your time. I also love that they can be customized to meet any dietary needs! For me, I limit my dairy and sugar and am allergic to bananas. Because of this, I opt for almond milk and sugar free chocolate collagen from Further Food (“KK&F” saves you 15%!) or chocolate protein from Nutrilite Organics (it’s plant based and delicious!). While a lot of smoothie recipes call for bananas, I always use frozen cauliflower instead. It gives the smoothie some extra nutrients while helping make it a little thicker, like a banana would!

That being said, feel free to tweak this smoothie so that it meets your tastes and preferences! If you love bananas, throw half in. If you prefer almond butter to peanut butter, make the swap. If you’re a vegan or vegetarian, opt for your favorite chocolate protein that fits into your lifestyle. Make it work for you!
