Berry Crumble Latte

This Berry Crumble Latte is made with a homemade mixed berry syrup made from just real ingredients and sweetened naturally with honey. When combined with vanilla almond milk and cookie butter coffee creamer in latte form, it makes the most delicious dessert inspired sip. Plus, it’s super beautiful… I mean, look at that color!

Berry Crumble Latte

What You’ll Need:

  • Mixed Berries (I prefer frozen!)
  • Honey
  • Water
  • Vanilla Bean Paste or Vanilla Extract
  • Almond Extract
  • Espresso
  • Almond Milk (can use whatever milk you like, I like unsweetened vanilla almond milk)
  • Coffee Creamer (I use nutpods Cookie Butter unsweetened, it is the best!)

Coffee Essentials:

  • Milk Frother
  • Espresso Machine
  • Nespresso Espresso Machine (so great for hosting!)
  • Coffee Spoons
  • Iced Coffee Glasses
  • Ice Mold
  • Pebble Ice Machine
  • Syrup Jars
  • Hyperchiller (a must for chilled drinks!)

Ingredients Method

Ingredients
  

Mixed Berry Syrup
  • 4 cups mixed berries (I use frozen!)
  • 1 cup water
  • ¾-1 cup honey (depending how sweet you like it!)
  • ½ tbsp vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste
  • ⅛ tsp almond extract
Berry Crumble Iced Latte
  • ice
  • 2-3 tbsp mixed berry syrup
  • 2 shots espresso (can sub cold brew as needed)
  • 2 tbsp creamer (I use nutpods cookie butter sugar free creamer, it's the best!)
  • ¼-½ cup milk (I use vanilla unsweetened almond milk)

Method
 

Mixed Berry Syrup
  1. Combine syrup ingredients (aside from the vanilla and almond extracts) in a pot on the stove and bring to a boil, then turn to low heat and allow to simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Remove from heat, allow to cool, then add in the vanilla and almond extracts.
  3. Strain out the berries from the syrup, the transfer the syrup to a jar with a lid or an airtight container. It can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
Berry Crumble Iced Latte
  1. Add the syrup to a cup and brew your favorite espresso to your liking over top. I always allow it to chill/cool down by brewing the espresso over metal ice cubes or by using my hyperchiller so that the espresso doesn't become bitter as it cools.
  2. In a cup with ice, pour in the creamer followed by the milk. Then, pour over the espresso with the syrup. Mix together and enjoy!
  3. Note: I sometimes like to pour the syrup into the glass with the ice to really watch the colors swirl together because it's fun. It's not the "correct" way to do it, but in my opinion it's not about doing things the "right" way all the time!
