Asian-Inspired Turkey Lettuce Wraps

January 14, 2021 by kaylaskitchandfix 10 Comments

A little spicy, a little sweet and a lot delicious, these Whole30 Asian-Inspired Turkey Lettuce Wraps are the perfect addition to your lineup whether you’re looking for a quick dinner for the family, an easy to reheat lunch to meal prep or a delicious appetizer to share.

Asian Turkey Lettuce Wraps

Asian-Inspired Turkey Lettuce Wraps

These little tasty bites may be small in size, but they pack big flavor. They are both spicy and sweet (PS – add more hot sauce if that’s your thing!) while being super nutritious and filling! They have lots of protein and I promise that you won’t even notice the veggies hiding in the filling.

They’re the perfect recipe to add into your weekly dinner rotation or even to make ahead for a busy week to reheat for lunches or after work. It doesn’t stop there, though. They’re great for making as an appetizer and sharing with a group too! No matter what you choose to make them for, they will not disappoint.

Lettuce Recap (Get it?)

Lettuce wraps of this nature originated in China and have since migrated throughout Southeast Asia and become popular in Thailand. While I am not Asian myself, I absolutely love and admire their cuisine. The flavors and pairings that come from their culture are some of my very favorite. I love finding ways that I can create dishes inspired by my favorite foods so that they fit into my dietary needs!

Make it your own!

If you love spice, feel free to add an additional tablespoon of hot sauce to the recipe, or top with some red pepper flakes to add some heat! You can also throw in any of your favorite chopped veggies if you’d like. In terms of sides, this dish is great with rice or even served over greens if you’re out of lettuce!

Amazing quick dinner recipe! I subbed the almond butter for sunflower butter because I’m allergic to almonds. Obsessed to say the least.
