Our Wedding Signature Drinks

December 27, 2021 by kaylaskitchandfix Leave a Comment

For our wedding signature drinks we wanted to keep it simple yet personalized, so we created our own Espresso Martini and Elderflower Spritz cocktails. We knew we both loved the cocktails, but we had no idea how big of a hit they would be with our guests!

Our Wedding Signature Drinks

Our Wedding Signature Drinks

I’m not sure when the whole concept of having “signature drinks” at a wedding came about, but Matt and I both knew we would want to incorporate it into our big day. We both love to come up with cocktails at home as well as try fun sips at restaurants, so we felt it would be fun to personalize a set of cocktails for our wedding guests to enjoy. And oh my gosh, our guests loved them! We had a fully stocked open bar, but just about every guest I saw had one of our custom cocktails in their hands.

We wanted to keep it simple enough for the bartenders to be able to whip up the drinks quickly while still being personalized to our tastes. So what we did was we both picked our favorite cocktails and simplified them to make them fast yet delicious. Here is what we each chose:

Espresso Martini

The Matthew – Espresso Martini

For years Matt and I have loved getting espresso martinis together when we go out for a drink or out to dinner, so we knew it would be fun to have them at our wedding! It’s typically Matt’s go-to cocktail, so it was a must.

What you’ll need:

  • vodka
  • coffee liqueur
  • cold brew (like I said, keeping it simple!)

What made this cocktail extra special was that my mother in law purchased chocolate covered espresso beans as a garnish for the drink. The guests were obsessed!

Elderflower Spritz

The Kayla – Elderflower Spritz

Prosecco has always been my favorite and when I discovered the pairing of bubbly with the flavors of elderflower, it was game over. I love the light and crisp taste of this cocktail!

What you’ll need:

  • prosecco (or champange)
  • sparkling water
  • elderflower syrup or elderflower liqueur
  • fresh lemon
  • Pomegranate & Cherry Elderberry Fizz Cocktail
  • Sparkling Apple Cider Mule
