It’s that time of year! Pour yourself a festive and cozy cup of cheer with this Dairy Free Eggnog recipe that is made with better for you ingredients.
Dairy Free Eggnog
I’m not sure what it is about the holidays, but they make me want to cozy up with a drink more often than not. And no, I don’t mean solely alcoholic ones (although I do love this Dairy Free Espresso Martini from time to time)! This eggnog is alcohol free, so you can make a batch and share it with the whole family! It’s also safe to drink because of the way it’s prepared, which you’ll read about in the recipe below.
Blue Sky Family Farms
I was so happy that I had the opportunity to partner on this recipe with Blue Sky Family Farms free range and pasture raised eggs. What I love about this brand is more than just their high quality pesticide and hormone free eggs, but the fact that they truly care about their chickens as well as the environment. BSFF free range chickens have 10 acres to roam free and their pasture raised chickens have over 50 acres to roam free! They are American Humane Certified which is the highest standard in eggs and are Non-GMO Verified and USDA Organic Certified (for their organic eggs).
Overall, Blue Sky Family Farms practices regenerative agriculture for environmental sustainability, which is so important and makes me feel great about supporting them. You can read more about their chickens here and find a carton near you on their store locator here!
Better for You Ingredients
Because this Dairy Free Eggnog is made with clean ingredients and swaps the dairy products for almond milk, you may find that the consistency is a little thinner than the store bought eggnog you may be used to. That being said, it is still just as yummy and comforting but will leave your body feeling good!
Thirsty for more?
Not only is this eggnog great for sipping on its own, but I have been loving using it in my morning coffee to make an Eggnog Latte! I use this eggnog recipe below and follow the instructions from my Dairy & Sugar Free Vanilla Latte (click here). You basically just warm a little of the eggnog in the microwave, add in some vanilla collagen and froth it together to pour over your morning cup of coffee. YUM.
If you’re looking for something warm to wind down with at night, you have to try my Dairy Free Hot Chocolate! It’s velvety, rich and just the right amount of sweet. Plus, it’s made with natural sugars and is only lightly sweetened so it won’t keep you up all night.

Dairy Free Eggnog
Equipment
- Blender
Ingredients
- 2 cups vanilla almond milk
- 2 tbsp raw honey or pure maple syrup
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- ⅛ tsp ground cloves
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Measure and blend all ingredients together for a minute to a minute and a half. The mixture should be light colored and slightly frothy.
- Pour the mixture into a pot on the stove over medium/low heat for 15 minutes, whisking frequently. Keep an eye on it and ensure it doesn’t boil to avoid the eggs from scrambling.
- Once the mixture thickens slightly and coats the back of a spoon, pour into a jar and store in the fridge overnight (or a few hours, minimum).
- Once ready to serve, blend again if any of the eggnog has separated, or add to a mason jar with a lid and shake.
- Serve chilled and top with cinnamon. Cheers!
