3 Ingredient Dairy Free Espresso Martini

December 4, 2020 by kaylaskitchandfix 10 Comments

This 3 Ingredient Dairy Free Espresso Martini is the easiest cocktail to make and is made with simple, clean ingredients. Plus, with minimal ingredients and just 5 minutes of your time, is the perfect cocktail to give you a little boost without the crash.

Dairy Free Espresso Martini

3 Ingredient Dairy Free Espresso Martini

If you have almond milk/coffee creamer, espresso/cold brew, vodka and 5 minutes, you’re set to make this simple yet flavorful cocktail. I wanted to make this recipe as simple as possible as well as make sure it was dairy free as a nice change from the classic so that more of us can enjoy it!

Dairy Free Espresso Martini

The only almond milk I ever use is MALK Organics for it’s simple and clean ingredients list. It also is one of the best I’ve ever tasted, which is always a huge plus! I use it in my morning Vanilla Latte every single day and love that both the original and vanilla flavors are both Whole30 compliant for when I’m doing a round. When using coffee creamer in this recipe, I always reach for nutpods. They are also Whole30 compliant without any diary or added sugars while still tasting amazing and having a wide variety of flavors!

Make it Your Own

If you don’t have access to an espresso maker, no worries! You can easily grab some cold brew from the store and use that instead to maintain that rich and bold flavor. If you plan to use brewed coffee, that works too, you’ll just need to double the amount that the recipe calls for so that you achieve that strong espresso taste. And no matter what you’re using, make sure it’s chilled first!

Dairy Free Espresso Martini

You can use whatever vodka you like, but since I’m allergic to gluten, I love to use Tito’s Vodka. It’s certified gluten free! You can also add a splash of Irish Cream if that’s your thing and if dairy isn’t an issue. Yum!

Total Time 5 minutes mins
Servings: 2 drinks
Course: Drinks
Ingredients Equipment Method Notes

Ingredients

  • 3 oz espresso/cold brew, chilled
  • 2-4 oz vanilla almond milk or dairy free coffee creamer (I use MALK Organics or flavored nutpods, use more for a creamier martini)
  • 2 oz vodka (I use Tito's)
  • ice cubes
  • coffee beans to garnish, optional

Equipment

  • Cocktail Shaker/Jar with a Lid
  • Espresso Maker/Moka Pot (optional)

Method

  1. Measure and pour all ingredients (aside from coffee beans if you're using them) into a shaker with ice and shake until combined. Don’t have a shaker? Use a mason jar with a lid.
  2. Strain into a martini glass and enjoy cold! If you’d like, you can chill your glass in the fridge prior. Cheers!

Notes

If you’re brewing your espresso, allow it to come to room temperature before making the cocktail. You can also sub espresso for cold brew.
If you’d like to use coffee instead of espresso, after it chills, use 1/4 cup of the coffee to get a richer flavor like you do from espresso.

That was so amazing! Thank you for the recipe 🙂 also, all distilled spirits are gluten-free so if you are celiac you can have any vodka/gin/whisky/rum etc.

I am so happy you loved this recipe as much as I do! 🙂 Yes, you’re totally correct! For me personally, I do tend to try and stick to certified gluten free products, like Tito’s brand for example, just to stay safe as I’m very sensitive. 🙂 Thank you so much for your rating and comment, Paula!

While it is made form wheat, they say the distillation process removes all gluten, however I avoid Grey Goose anyway like you said!

This was delicious! I didn’t have Kahlua but was looking for a recipe for an espresso martini and came across this. Used unsweetened almond milk and added a tsp vanilla and tsp sugar. Perfect!

Love! BTW all non flavored vodkas are gluten free hahah. Tito’s uses it on their label as a marketing scheme – guess it works 😂

I’m glad you loved it! I have celiac disease so I am careful to drink things that are certified GF to protect myself and my health! I don’t consider that a marketing scheme, as even though distilled, some vodkas are made with gluten containing ingredients, so I appreciate the certification for my safety! But that’s just my take/perspective! 🙂
